Overview

As the Physician Assistant (PA), you’ll function as the surgeon’s clinical partner — extending their reach, improving patient flow, and helping deliver world-class outcomes in a high-performance environment.

This role is ideal for a clinically strong, confident, and compassionate PA who thrives in a fast-paced orthopedic setting and wants to grow alongside one of the most forward-thinking orthopedic surgeons in the country.

Key Responsibilities

As directed by the surgeon and integrated into the practice workflow:

Clinical Care:

  • Conduct initial consultations and follow-up visits (in-person or via telehealth)
  • Perform physical examinations and obtain detailed patient histories
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and labs
  • Provide evidence-based pre- and post-operative counseling and instructions
  • Manage non-complex medical questions and patient concerns
  • Assist the surgeon during surgeries as needed

 

Workflow & Documentation

  • Register and document all patient interactions in the EHR with accuracy and clarity
  • Coordinate care with referring providers, physical therapists, and other specialists
  • Support the surgeon in creating a seamless, efficient clinic day
  • Collaborate with the Operations and Service teams to ensure documentation, imaging, and authorizations are ready ahead of each patient visit

 

Practice Support

  • Serve as an extension of the surgeon to optimize patient access, education, and satisfaction
  • Help scale the surgeon’s caseload responsibly by managing appropriate portions of care
  • Support additional clinical or administrative tasks as the surgeon sees fit

Qualifications

  • Licensed Physician Assistant (PA-C) in the state of practice
  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to manage portions of patient care independently under supervision
  • Outstanding communication and patient-education skills
  • Strong teamwork mindset with the ability to collaborate across clinical and administrative teams
  • Prior experience in orthopedics or surgical specialties highly preferred
  • Comfortable working with modern healthcare technology, EHR systems, and digital tools
  • Highly organized, proactive, and committed to excellence
